Bean Sprout in San Antonio

The manager was very friendly and the food was fast and yummy! Great place for a quick bite or take out.

Always have great service and amazing food, me and my husband go every other week and order take out. Bean Sprout is definitely my favorite restaurant and I'm always going to be a customer.

Best boiled fish in town! I have ordered this dish multiple times here and it is always delicious. Always more than enough for two people as well. Be sure to ask for the Chinese menu to find along with their regular one and also to check out the art!

I've known Peter and former partner Charlie for year's and honestly no matter how long it's been since being around Peter always has that wonderful smile and customer service. Love this restaurant and so will you.

Poorly cooked sushi. The order was completely taken wrong. When I was waiting for my friend to get off the phone the waiter hovered over me and made me nervous but I wasn't ordering food right then and there mind you she was on the phone. They forgot the side dishes that I had ordered. A complete disaster for $41 I will never go to this restaurant ever again. Lack of customer service poorly cooked food and didn't even get the food correctly when ordered and they couldn't even apologize. Then they had the audacity to ask me are you going to leave a tip. Pathetic. You're going to give me bad service not give me the correct food and then demanded tip what a joke. We left a tip because we pitied you not because you had good service. I will make sure everyone knows about your restaurant and what poor service you gave.And furthermore they should be reported to the Better Business Bureau as their sign says outside specials and when you go inside then refuse to honor it. What a joke

This place is a hidden gem. From the second I walked in there the owner had a smile on his face and really got to know the customers. The staff was amazing and is on the same level as Chick-fil-a (meaning the customer service is amazing). My waiter made me feel like as if i walked into his house and was treated like family. He took my order and i received my food really fast. I ordered the General Tso with fried rice and it was amazing. I had so much food I could barely get half way through. I never had to ask for a refill as they were on point for customer service. After finishing my meal I talked to the owner and it was nice to see that he likes what he does and treats his customers with so much happiness and joy. I will be back for sure. I love this place.

Buddha's delight (8.65$) was not delightful, refreshing, or satisfying. I ordered with fried rice and received steamed brown rice. Tucked away, Bean Sprout is trying to create an Asian decor, but I want Asian taste. Walking distance from all surrounding hotels, in my humble opinion, may be the other dishes taste good, but I would skip the place.

Delicious food. My family ordered lemon chicken, beef and broccoli, sesame chicken and 2 orders of cheese rangoon. The egg rolls are my favorite! The beef is thin sliced and tender. The sauce in the beef and broccoli makes it perfect. I tried my mom's lemon chicken and its tastes really good. What i like is the breading on the chicken, doesn't fall apart. I do recommend adding peas, corn and/or carrot to the fried rice

Ask for the daily specials those were pretty good. The rolls were good not bad..I had the sesame chicken special with steam rice and also ordered the Rock and Roll sushi roll..

Dont let the interior fool you the food is excellent. If you like REAL Chinese food...ask for the other menu. They serbe you in a family sharing manner. We will be regular customers.

The food was delicious and the service was very good. Courteous and attentive waitstaff. Generous portions on the plates served. Would highly recommend for somebody looking to get their regular Chinese food fix.

I am originaly from California and frequent China town San Francisco. This Chinese Restuarant is very authentic and the best Chinese dishes to choose from. Highly recommend it!

I have been eating here for many years. In fact since they opened their doors. The food is great and always very fresh. The owner is very friendly and he seems to always hire a friendly staff also. The service is good and fast. If you have not been to this place I suggest that you make it your next place to eat at.

The fried rice and the pork boss are the best.

YALL! When i say this place is the friendliest chinese place i have been too. I've had a great delivery from wonderful man that was very cheerful, happy and great person to talk to. Then i just picked up an order and it was the same way a lovely woman that was talking to me asking about my day. Plus their FOOD is a great. Always gave plenty of food and it was wonderful. I can honestly say I will continue to come here!

I recently moved to San Antonio and have been looking for a good place to get Sesame Chicken. I tried Bean Sprout today for the first time and definitely found the place. The food was excellent, service and atmosphere were very inviting. Definitely my new go to place.

Had such an amazing experience there today! The food was great, the service was great. We LOVED their bubble tea so much we took 2 to go after the meal. Very relaxed environment. Felt like eating at a family members house. We will be going back again soon. Highly recommend!

This place is phenomenal. The lo mein is absolutely delicious, not an ounce of regret coming to this place. Not to mention the customer service these lovely people really put their customers first and make you feel welcome to their restaurant. Amazing place ,we will be visiting the Bean Sprout again.

This lunch special was delicious and the waiter was quick and friendly. There was actually crab in the crab Rangoon! The owner is fun guy who is very friendly and talks to the patrons. Great place!

Never disappointing! The sushi is always freshly made to order, and everything my family, friends and i have had here is great. They're delivery service is always quick and still has a large portion like you get when you dine in. The staff is always very knowledgeable of everything on the menu, and the chefs are willing to make any accommodations on food.

I have been coming to Bean Sprout since 2011 and have been obsessed with their sushi, especially the spicy salmon roll which has been my go to dish every single time I have been there for the better part of the decade. The staff have always been extremely hospitable and kind to me, and we have very enjoyable conversations. If you are looking for a top notch Chinese food and especially sushi place, I could not recommend Bean Sprout enough.

Upon entering they proudly displayed their health inspection rating, which was an A/93. They promptly sat us down and got our drink order. They didn't have a soda fountain but offered cans. The staff was extremely courteous and kept our ice tea and water full. I thought the food was amazing! I ordered the teriyaki chicken with fried rice. The seasoning was spot on. My wife had the beef and broccoli which she loved. The pricing was about average, $10 per person. We just missed the lunch specials, but I didn't really expect lunch specials on a weekend. I will be putting this place in my rotation of places to eat.

This was our second trip to the restaurant and we had the best service as Yang was our server. He was very professional and one of the most attentive servers we have had. He checked on us, filled up our water glasses and had a smile on his face and you could see that he thoroughly enjoyed taking care of customers. The food was great also and when we get to that side of town again we will be back!!!

Decent quality and overall friendly staff. Can't quite give it a 4 or 5 due to layout and general vibe. Looks and feels like a restaurant that wants to be an import export place.

This place was awful. First off i did not order any sushi so I’m not sure if it’s any good. However their Chinese food was horrible. The hot and sour soup was just eggs and vinegar no hot no nothing! It tasted like pure vinegar it was disgusting. I got the Kung pow chicken and the sesame chicken both where really bad. Tasted like cheap sauce and no flavor. The fried rice was mushy and clumped together and very greasy. I would not recommend this place at all it was pretty bad especially for the price of everything just wow! They need to step it up or take $3 off each menu item because it’s that bad!

Underrated!!! Definitely a hidden gem. Try egg drop soup was delicious! Also sushi was so fresh! Ahhh my new favorite place :)

I visited Bean Sprout after a 5-year absence due to a move. The food is just as good as I remember, if not better. I had the chicken and vegetables in white sauce. The chicken was tender and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. But that's only half the story. My waiter Caleb was attentive and knowledgeable. My iced tea glass was never empty. He is one of the best waiters I have encountered in years. If you want a delicious meal, don't hesitate to visit Bean Sprout and ask for Caleb; he's easy to spot because of his absolutely EPIC mustache.

The food is quite tasty with good portions and a very low price. All in all not A bad place to get lunch

I do not recommend ordering sushi from this restaurant. When my coworker asked the waiter about the rainbow roll he didn't even know what was on it. If you're looking for a quiet place to eat, this is it. We were the only table seated during dinner hours on a Friday. I also noticed that all of the foods that were fried were chewy as if they were kept in a fridge and reheated or kept on a warmer for extended periods of time.
